What we collect, and what we don't

• We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or social pixels on this site.
• We do not load fonts, scripts, or images from other companies' servers, so browsing here is not reported to anyone else.
• We only get personal information — your name, your contact details — if you type it into a form and submit it.
• We count clicks on the links we hand out, without cookies and without your IP address, so we can tell which outreach actually worked.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
• You can ask us to delete everything we have about you, and we will.

Nothing that identifies you. There are no cookies set by this site, no analytics scripts, and no third-party embeds. Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs — including IP addresses — as part of delivering the site and protecting it from attack. We do not use those logs to build profiles of visitors.

Links we can count

Some links we hand out — on door hangers, in text messages, in social posts — run through voteforchangemi.com/go/… before dropping you on the real page. When you follow one of those links we record which link it was, which piece of outreach it came from, the town our host says the request came from, whether you were on a phone or a computer, and which website sent you, if any. Then we pass you straight through.

These records do not include your IP address, your name, or any identifier for your device or browser. Nothing is stored on your phone, so one visit cannot be connected to the next, or to anything you later type into a form. The location is the one our host works out from the network and is accurate to about a town — we also keep that town's approximate coordinates, not your device's. We never ask your browser for your real location, and it never gives it to us.

We do this so we can tell whether a mailer or a text actually reached the neighborhood it was aimed at, and stop paying for the ones that don't. The alternative most campaigns use is a commercial link shortener, which would collect the same thing plus your IP address and keep it on their servers to resell. We would rather hold less of it, ourselves.

Only through the three forms on this site:

• Voting plan — your name, email, optionally your mobile number, your city or township, and the voting method and day you chose. We hold it so we can send you your plan and a reminder before your chosen day. We have not connected an email or SMS platform yet, so nothing is sent automatically — see "Who else touches your data" below.
• Canvasser application — your name, email, phone, city, ZIP code, the work and hours you're after, your availability, how you'd get to turf, any languages, any notes, and your confirmation that you're 18 and authorized to work in the U.S. Canvassing is contract work, so we use this to bring you on and get you onto shifts, and we keep it as a contractor record. We do not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, or any document images on this form — that happens later, on paper, once you're taken on.
• Client inquiry — your name, your campaign or organization, email, optionally a phone number, the race, what you need, and roughly what budget you have. We use it to answer you, and we keep it as a business record.

That is the whole list. We do not ask for your date of birth, your driver's license number, your party, or your Social Security number, and you should be suspicious of any get-out-the-vote site that does.

We only text you if you check the box asking us to. You can stop at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. We do not share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing, and consent to texts is never a condition of anything else on this site.

Only service providers we need to operate, and only for that purpose:

• Netlify — hosts the site and stores form submissions.
• Supabase — stores the link counts described above, in a database we control. It holds no names, no contact details, and nothing from either form.

That is currently the whole list. We have not connected an email platform, an SMS provider, or a CRM, and until we do, anything you submit sits in Netlify and goes nowhere else. If that changes we will name the provider here before we start using it.

We do not give your information to candidates, campaigns, parties, PACs, data brokers, or advertisers.

Contact information from the voting-plan form is deleted at the end of the 2026 election cycle — December 31, 2026 — unless you have asked to keep hearing from us. Canvasser applications are kept as contractor records for as long as the law requires — tax and payment records outlive an election cycle — and longer only if you work with us.

The link counts are deleted on the same date. There is nothing in them that identifies anyone, so there is nothing to ask us to delete — but they go anyway, because a count of who clicked what in the 2026 election has no business outliving the 2026 election.

• If we ever start sending email, every message will carry an unsubscribe link. We have not connected an email platform yet, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from today.
• Stop texts by replying STOP.
• Ask us what we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us.

This site is for people who can register to vote — in Michigan, 17½ and up. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If we change what we collect, we will update this page and change the date below. Material changes get a notice on the home page.
